About Me
Hello! My name is Mahina (pronounced Muh-HEE-Nuh).
I became a photographer in 2006 and specialize in high school senior, newborn, family, and individual/business portrait photography.
I was born in Hawaii (where my name comes from), raised in New Mexico (where my phone number comes from), and I’ve settled down in Western Washington (where my husband is from) and love it out here!
I got my degree in studio art, with an emphasis in oil painting, which gives me a unique and artistic perspective on photography. I love to play with light and details, and my mind is constantly open to trying new and creative things.
My experience in fine arts, modeling, customer service, and early childhood education gives me a unique blend of skills for creating stellar portraits!
I would love to take photos of you or your family too! All of my shoots are on-location, so I would be happy to take photos at your house, your favorite local park, your business, or just about anywhere.
